Vision of the project: We desire to see the people of Bangladesh reading God’s word, being transformed by it and transforming this nation.
Project background: The Bangladesh Bible Correspondence School (BBCS) has been a major contributor to the growth of the gospel in Bangladesh and the spiritual development of its people. BBCS aims particularly to serve these rural populations who have limited access to the gospel and limited understanding of God’s word. Through the use of mailed Bible courses, barriers of distance, time and culture are crossed.
Through providing excellent quality Bible correspondence courses to at least 500 students a year, of whom at least 120 complete the full eight-part course. BCS helps students to grow in their understanding of the Bible so that they become honest, diligent and hardworking citizens of Bangladesh.
BCS conducts three and five day training seminars in local areas, for around 300 students per year. Seminars provide students with the opportunity to deepen their Bible knowledge, receive theological training, and prepare for ministry in house churches. Seminars enable students to clarify questions as they study the Bible themselves. They help students understand God’s will for their lives, training them to become teachers of the Bible to others.
